Charlie Clausen as The Prince?

19 year old Australian Charlie Clausen has been reported as the lead in the video game adaptation which could be his first big hollywood break. This report seems to have come from an Australian magazine called “Hyper”. IMDb currently lists Clausen as attached and no confirmation of his role in the movie exists. However many websites including IGN are stating this as fact, which remains to be seen - some of his IMDb profile shots do bear a resemblance to the Prince.

What the bloody hell??? He’s not even a little middle eatern looking, the bloke’s from Australia! At least get some actor from Turkey, or that sexy arabian fellow from the Mummy.

I agree, terrible choice of actor if the rumour is true. Now David Belle, he would be a good choice, since he created Parkour which is widely known to be shown in the movie.David Belle has the pefect look for the prince, in my opinion.

I think orlando bloom is the perfect choosen for this prince of persia character. because of the succesful of pirate of carribean trilogy and LOTR trilogy. I hope the director making good decision for prince character…

I agree David Belle would be perfect for the prince in that he knows Parkour, but theres a lot of other people out there that know Parkour that look more like the prince.

This guy does look like the prince, and hes young enough to be the prince. Look at the prince in the picture above he doesn’t look arabian at all or even middle eastern he just has a tan, getting some one real arabian like the gut in the Mummy 2 would look teriable couse thats not what the prince looked like in the game, besides Persians are not really dark there more white.

Look at John Abraham. An bollywood actor is born to part indian and part Persian descendants. As good experience in acting in international arena with movie called “water”. he has lot of fan sites . It looks perfect for role with perfect looks, physique, taekawndo and acting experience.

As a big fan of the videogames I’m really excited by the fact they are making a movie. But that guy cannot play the part, as a previous post said, hes doesn’t even look the part. My thoughts on who should play the Prince: the actor from “Heroes” that plays Dr.Sharesh. Let me know if you agree with me

If this rumor is true its a better idea just to do the movie in cg(computer Graphics) if they can’t find some one that looks alike just do it that way and there will be no arguments on the movie Duh!!!

hmm, yeh maybe, he does have the acrobatic skills required for the character role, but the look is not quite there, i seriously think that this is going to go badly though. Personally i think they should make it as a really gud CGS movie.

this is wrong, john Abraham is the perfect role for this movie,and there are some websites that have some voting going on with a list of actors john is voted the best choice.

I simply can’t imagine this guy as the Prince of Persia he just doesn’t have that angry, driven by redemption look about him. They would have to completely change this guys look, for starters he doesn’t even look persian its rediculous. I know they will have to have someone who is skilled at base jumping but they could always get a double for that. I think that they should cast John Abraham or someone similar simply because he looks like the prince. I edited his photo on photoshop onto the Princes body and what do you know the guy is perfect.

Oh please for the love of god, i’d rather have a American actor rather than a Indian or Arabian actor.. First of all Persians are neither, so if a Indian or Arabian actor does their role, it must feel like a massive boost for their self esteem.
Why not better get a proper Persian from Iran to do the acting.. like this guy Mohammad Reza Golzar

hmm this guy just might do you never know….i mean look at orlando bloom in LOTR then Pirates….he looks pretty dam different….so if they have a decent makeup department then maybe he will acctually look like the prince….theres been heaps of the actors that took on roles that they don’t make eg: dustmen hofem as captain hook….i still don;t believe thats him!

Dude’s do any of you know anything about Hollywood or film making? didn’t think there was many, I’m sure they’ll make a really good movie or god forbid…(a totally shit one).
DAVID BELLE? come on people, he would be good but he doesn’t speak one bit of English and he’s movies aren’t exactly the best acting I’ve ever seen.

If you think, thet it easy to learn make tricks like prince, you wrong. Maybe he looks like him, but it will be to hard you now. To my mind, David Bal’ - is perfect for this role.

i think that this actor would be perfect for the prince of persia role ….the ones which say that he isn’t proper are idiots ,frustrated,invidious and subjective.Charlie Clausen with long hair and a litle stash would be absolutely perfect for the role…..orlando bloom is not even close maybe if we are to take another actor that would definitely be the actor which played as Aragorn(the king)in the lord of the rings;else Charlie would be perfect and by the way he doesn’t look soft but athletic and fit (exactly what the prince should be)

In my opinion i think that the only actor that would be perfect as Prince is Jared Leto (from 30 Seconds to Mars)! Damn the guy would have to work out a bit before starting the shooting but then i guess he would fit just perfectly.
I wish they choosed Jared for the role cuz not only is he talented but also resembles the Prince a lot!

Personaly i’m going for a Heroes character myself, though i see Milo Ventimiglia(Peter Petreli) in the part, not Dr Suresh (think he’s a little dark)!~ I think he’s got the face to pull it off, but the eyes could be a slight problem, ah well…
He’s got the body for it, he could build up perfectly. His face isn’t quite as gaunt as ‘The Prince’, but with his mixed background i feel he’d be a good choice.
Not sure about Orlando Bloom, I like the guy, but find him a little to caucasian looking.

Dont mess this up… I will be very picky about this movie, I will look at EVERY detail from head to toe, and the only reason I am doing this is, because I have never Loved anything more then the prince of persia trilogy, and if they mess this up, I will never forgive Jerry BruckHeimer

I am a great fan of Prince of Persia, and i think that the best way to do this, is not witha movieStar, is with the best persons who fits the PRINCE role; maybe arabic, maybe not, but we need to feel he is the prince, and this Charlie Clausen i think hes not the one.

Hey here’s a thought - It would be a really good idea to use an actual ‘persian’ or someone who looks persian (iranian) to play the role as the prince of persia, and when i say persian i don’t mean arab or indian cause they AREN’T the same thing. Otherwise they should get someone arab, indian, european, or whoever who atleast looks persian. If they don’t pay attention to something like picking the right type of cast for the film then i don’t care who they are, obviously they don’t put a great deal of time into research. That being said, love the work thank you
