Looks like the movie will suck.
How much you wanna bet that the girl turns out to be bad in the end. It sounds like her voice is mocking him at one point in the trailer.
*sigh* Jake just doesn’t work as the prince. I’m not saying he isn’t a decent actor I just … well, anyway what’s done is done.
The special effects look lovely but I have reservations about the story line. I need to see more trailers to make up my mind on going to see it in theaters or not.
WHAT THE F@CK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! IF YOU ARE SUCH HARDCORE FANS, WHY THE HELL DO YOU CONTINUE YAPPIN’ ABOUT THE CHOICE OF ACTORS?! JUST DEAL WITH THE FACT THAT THE MOVIE IS BEIN’ MADE AS IT IS AND STOP BITCHIN’ ABOUT IT, PERIOD. IF YOU TAKE IT INTO YOUR HEADS THAT THE MOVIE IS GOIN’ TO BE BAD AND IT TURNS OUT TO BE AMAZING, YOU’LL STILL END UP THINKIN’ IT’S BAD. IF YOU TRY AND ACCEPT THE MOVIE YOU MIGHT JUST FIND IT AT THE VERY LEAST ENTERTAINING. OTHERWISE YOU CAN JUST KEEP HATIN’ FOR NO REASON, IN OTHER WORDS, KEEP BEIN’ A DOUCHE.
movies gonna be pree legit with all the graphics and stuff but sooooo coulda pickd a better actor to play the prince i hate it when they choose someone of a different race to play the role of someone.

I think Jake is perfect. After all they are making an Hollywood movie (that wants make millions of gains) and as we are all racist inside real persian or indian (the princess) actors would not satisfy the people.
If not why only very few bollywood movies (however well made) reach our cinemas?
Then there is the “famous people” factor. Jake is a well know actor, as for Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley, plus all of them are very good actors. Why take a more realistic but unknown or, worst, bad actor instead?
So for me Jake and the others work very well in this movie.

Dysney, i had my doubts but after this, get my vote and my crazy mind to think that i need to w8 to see it…
now i just wanna more traillers, more information, n see how great this new trilogy is going to come!

WOW! this movie is shaping out so good! much better then I even imagined! Great work!
As for Jake, I also think he is absolutely perfect for the role. As Evan said – he is famous, incredibly talented and has a huge fan base – which is enough to launch the movie. And he actually LOOKS like the SOT Prince – the hair, the blue eyes, he got in perfect shape ,he even did his stunts! Not to mention his attitude! perfect for the SOT Prince – so naive and even childish, optimistic and noble. I was also pretty skeptical about him when I first heard he is in the lead, and then I watched Bubbleboy to help me feel even more negative about this choice, but now HAVING ACTUALLY SEEN him in the full outfit, in action – I am very optimistic!
This movie is going to suck! Yes it will be a hit at the box office but it will not do the game justice. It is not dark enough and It is trying to be like the Pirates of the Caribbean films, they add humor that doesn’t belong. I read the script that leaked on line and it isn’t like the game at all. The prince doesn’t have a name and he does not have any brothers (unlike in the film) and the princess’s name is Farrah. They should have chosen Bollywood actors because even though they would be unknown to us they would fit the roles and it would make the film more realistic. The actors are all very talented but they should not be in this film. Disney should not have made this movie because the games are so bloody and violent and Disney would never make an R rated film but PoP should be rated R. Warrior Within and The Two Thrones games are rated M and they are just too dark and gory for a Disney film. This film is going to be a disappointment to the fans of the game.
PoP Fan, maybe they should have just picked a PERSIAN actor. Why it gotta be Indian? Either way that will never happen though.
Pop fan, what are you talking about? This is based on Sands of Time which was rate T, and was not dark what so ever. And you do realize that even films like Casino Royal are rate PG 13 as well right? A movie could have violence and even nudity but still be PG 13 as lots of action movies such as Bond and Bourne have proven.
As for the actors, it’s been done so people should get over it. They both look great in the role from what we can see in the trailer, and that’s all that matters.
I am 100% sure that you prefer Disney over Uwe Boll!!!
