.. i can’t wait to see it!!!!!!!!!!!

I never played the game and probably don’t see myself in the future but I love movies and this trailer interested me. It looks like a wild, summer ride. For those of you criticizing it by the trailer, worried that it won’t do the game justice need to remember the film is only BASED on the game (Yes, I am talking to you True PoP fan).

There is not enough dialogue and character development in a video game to translate directly into a film. It is opposite of a novel where there is too much and things get thrown out. When you take a piece (such as a game or book) and mold it to fit another medium (such as a film) things get changed. It has to happen. Finally, and I throw this in because of the Jerry Bruckheimer links, Pirates of the Caribbean (the movie) and absolutely nothing to do with the ride it was based on. Perhaps the movie is only loosely based on the game… that does nothing to diminish the quality of the film. It only ticks of narrow minded people.

Hollywood needs a serious reality check if they think these two are passable. It’s insulting that the rare time when they make a movie that obviously calls for lead actors of ethnic roots, that they cast the whitest person possible and tan him up.

As for the actors, it’s been done so people should get over it. They both look great in the role from what we can see in the trailer, and that’s all that matters.
